Spring will soon alight in the beautiful capital city of Portugal, making it even more beautiful and light, colorful and zestful, so this is reason enough to celebrate with the best events in Lisbon in March 2017. I was thinking we might sit down to discover a few of them together and then describe it all in a few lines.
Let’s see what is on in Lisbon these days. At the Museu do Chiado, this is the perfect time to go see the outstanding exposition of Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, one of the greatest modern painters Portugal has given the world. He was very active at the beginning of the 20th century, imposing the cubist and expressionist influences borrowed from his French and Western European peers.
Andrea Bocelli, one of the most beloved tenors in the world, will be in Lisbon to give an amazing long-awaited concert on March 25th at the MEO Arena. The Italian artist is renowned for his efforts to make classical music accessible, much like Luciano Pavarotti, and for making a smooth transition from classical to pop music. His repertoire includes classical songs as well as modern pieces and he has collaborated with dozens of other renowned artists, such as Celine Dion, Sarah Brightman or Stevie Wonder.
